I am a
clinical psychologist and mental health counselor, licensed to practice in
California, Florida, and Brazil. I have over 25 years of experience working with adults,
children, and families in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health, social services, specialty clinics,
psychiatric hospital, and independent practice. I currently provide clinical services in private
practice in Pasadena, California.
I
am also Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Health Psychology emphasis at the California School of
Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University, and Adjunct Faculty at Nova Southeastern University. As educator, I participate in the
training of doctoral and masters level clinicians, teaching theories of
counseling, psychodiagnostic assessment, multicultural psychology, health
behavior change, and LGBTQ psychology courses. My research and speaking
engagements have been primarily in the areas of cross-cultural assessment, LGBTQ psychology, and anxiety/trauma/stress related disorders. I provide psychological services both in English
and Portuguese.
